Reviews

Tap Milwaukee
Following "Gimme Something Good," an explosion of noise to the north indicated that 311's set was underway. "I'm so bummed, I can tell that they're playing 'Down' right now," Adams quipped. His banter is generally as important as his music to the memorability of his performances, and he was in full prankster mode. That said, the music was frequently superb. The Shining pulled off a blistering "Shakedown On 9th Street" as well as an admirable showing on a trio of Cardinals classics, "Magnolia Mountain," "Let It Ride" and "Cold Roses." It felt like a band coming into its own. [full review here]
