His new band (Adams plays with lots of folks) Snow Kobra will be playing on Thursday (July 22) at the Mercury Lounge to show off Adams' harder-rocking side. As for his main band, Whiskeytown's new disc is due in early 2000. * Note from Douglas Clubock: I saw this show. The band was advertised, and played as, SnowKat. Gary Lucas opened. Revised note from Clubock: Yikes. I feel like a dope. Gary Lucas was the headliner. Ryan opened and played a very short set. As for the SnowKat thing, that's what I wrote down at the time, but now I have my doubts as I see just how many People on the web are convinced that it was Snow Kobra.
