Ryan dropped by the KCRW morning show (10 AM local time) and played 3 acoustic songs (Lucky Now, New York, New York and My Winding Wheel). Ryan talks about playing festivals, The Shining, doing covers, moving to LA from New York, the Heartbreaker Deluxe Edition and his next album. About his next album he said, I don't think I've ever worked this hard on an album. It's the most songs I've ever written for an album and it's been amazing. Whatever this was was so cathartic in a way where I listened back to what I had to say and went "That's really messed up!" I feel whatever I'm making bookends so much of what I've gone through in the past couple of years. It's not some thing made of darkness, I've really found ways of writing that can be optimistic and helpful to myself.
