Details

This was an amazing short set of hard rock/punk, tailored towards the garage-rock crowd at Sleaze Fest. One vivid memory of this show is how quiet the rowdy crowd suddenly became when Ryan and Caitlin started Lo-Fi Tennessee Mountain Angel. The long, feedback ending of that song was incendiary, and segued directly into I Wanna Be Your Dog, which broke down after one verse and chorus (Ryan made up new lyrics to the verse). The whole festival was filmed with 3 or 4 cameras, and I was operating one of the two cameras by the stage. I remember crawling on stage and getting close-ups of Ryan at the end of I Wanna Be Your Dog as he writhed around on his back with his eyes closed. I never did see the video, and I think the guy who had it lost everything in a burglary, so it is probably gone forever. First show I saw without Steve Grothman, I didn't recognize the person playing bass at this show. -- Michael Pemberton.
